自皈依佛，當願眾生，體解大道，發無上心。
Taking refuge in the Buddha myself, may then all sentient beings embody the great Way, and resolve to attain the unsurpassed mind.
自皈依法，當願眾生，深入經藏，智慧如海。
Taking refuge in the Dharma myself, may then all sentient beings enter deeply into the Canon, and attain wisdom as great as the Ocean.
自皈依僧，當願眾生，統理大眾，一切無礙。 《三稱三拜》
Taking refuge in the Sangha myself, may then all sentient beings harmonize with the great assembly, and be entirely free from hindrance.
